Educational policy
We aim to help students understand the nervous system by connecting molecules, cells, circuits, and the whole organism. Through lectures, laboratory training, and research mentoring, students learn the scientific thinking that supports medicine.
Office hours
Consultations regarding lectures, laboratory classes, student life, and research are welcome. Please visit the Division of Neuroscience on the 7th floor of the Basic Medical Research Building. Since we may be away, contacting us by email in advance is recommended.

Undergraduate education
Lectures
We provide lectures centered on neurophysiology for medical students, covering neuronal electrical activity, synaptic transmission, sensory and motor systems, and higher brain functions.
Laboratory classes
In physiology laboratory classes, students measure and analyze biological signals such as EMG and EEG.
Graduate education
| Area | Contents |
|---|---|
| Research theme | We develop research themes by connecting students' interests with the laboratory's strengths. |
| Experimental methods | Students learn histological analysis, MRI analysis, behavioral experiments, biological signal analysis, and electrophysiological approaches when appropriate. |
| Scientific communication | We provide guidance in reading papers, designing research plans, presenting at conferences, writing manuscripts, and scientific English. |
Laboratory rotations and visits
Students at any stage are welcome if they are interested in neuroscience.
