村越先生らは糖尿病患者636名を対象にBNPのCKD進行に対する予測能を検討し、正常範囲内のBNPでもeGFR30%以上低下と段階的に関連し、UACRとの併用により最高リスク群を同定できることを示しました。BNPは心腎脆弱性の指標として尿所見を補完します。
