Department of Surgery I,

We offer the best surgical approach for malignant tumors such as gastrointestinal cancer, hepato-pancreato-biliary cancer, breast cancer, and thyroid cancer. We also provide chemotherapy and molecular targeted therapy for these malignant tumors. We have 13 operating theaters equipped with various surgical devices such as Harmonic shares, SonoSurg, Liagasure, Biclump, Enseal, and so on. We could use them whenever we need at 24 hours and 7 days a week. Preoperative surgical evaluation will be scheduled 2 weeks prior to the surgery. Sixty four law multi-detector computed tomography provides 3D-surgical simulation which will give precise information regarding operating plan. Therefore, we could provide exact surgical plan before surgery and all the patients will understand what surgery will be conducted. Classical surgery will open abdomen with big incision. However, modern surgery will become minimally invasive surgery with laparoscopy. Most gastrointestinal cancers, colorectal cancers, and half liver cancers will be operated under laparoscopy. We also succeeded Whipple procedure on 1994. We reported it the third institution in the world at that time. Please ask us at anytime whatever you need a surgery. Our office opens for 9:00-11:00 AM during week days for the first visit. We recommend to make an appointment before visit our office otherwise it may take all the days. We also recommend to bring a letter from your neighboring doctors in order to save doctor fee and visiting time. We are very welcome to your visit and will promise to give you the best surgical and clinical approach for your disease in Japan.
